Family-Friendly Kitchen Remodel
When the family purchased this traditional home, it hadn’t been updated in a couple of decades. The kitchen and dining room were divided by a wall making both rooms small and ill functioning. TCP took the wall down and opened up the space connecting them into one large area for cooking, dining and entertaining. It now functions the way the client’s family operates – kids and pets coming in and out; cooking and eating together; and friends gathering together on weekends. The bench seating enables them to add an additional table when the group grows over holidays and for impromptu celebrations. The cooks can still be part of the fun with the open-concept kitchen. Kids can eat breakfast or study at the peninsula while the family gathers to kick off the work and school week or prepare for dinner.
