Interior Designer, Personal Chef, Sonoma & Napa Counties
I’ve been designing interiors for more than two decades—first for myself, then for friends, and ultimately for clients who value thoughtful, well-curated spaces. What began as a personal passion for selecting finishes, reimagining interiors, and refreshing homes has grown into The Cultured Palate Interior Design, a studio rooted in Wine Country living.
My design experience spans a wide range of homes, from a high-rise apartment in Chicago to residences in Piedmont, Chevy Chase, San Leandro, and now Sonoma Valley. Today, my work focuses primarily on Sonoma and Napa County homes, where I design interiors that feel layered, timeless, and deeply connected to place.
Having lived across the United States—including the Pacific Northwest, the greater Washington, D.C. area, Chicago, and both Northern and Southern California—I bring a broad perspective to every project. I love the energy and sophistication of urban environments, yet I find my greatest inspiration in the quieter rhythms of Sonoma Valley and Napa Valley living.
This balance between refinement and ease strongly informs my approach to interior design. My work blends clean architectural lines with natural materials, creating spaces that feel calm, intentional, and livable—perfectly suited to Wine Country homes.
Travel and international living are at the heart of The Cultured Palate. I’ve traveled to 41 countries, including a year spent traveling after leaving my corporate career. My family lived in Mumbai, India, as well as in Central America, experiences that profoundly shaped my design sensibility.
Living abroad taught me that the most beautiful interiors reflect their environment and culture. This philosophy guides my work in Sonoma and Napa Counties, where homes should feel connected to the landscape, climate, and lifestyle of Wine Country rather than driven by trends.
In addition to interior design, I’ve spent over a decade working as a personal chef. This experience deeply influences how I design kitchens and entertaining spaces. I understand firsthand what makes a kitchen not only beautiful, but functional, intuitive, and welcoming.
Whether designing a kitchen for everyday family life or for hosting gatherings, my goal is always the same: to create spaces that support connection, ease, and enjoyment. This perspective is especially meaningful in Sonoma and Napa homes, where food, hospitality, and gathering are central to daily life.

I’m incredibly grateful to have raised two wonderful sons and to share life with my husband, a true partner in every sense. At home, nothing brings me more joy than cooking and gathering around the dinner table with family and friends—an experience that mirrors the way many of my clients live and entertain in Wine Country.
Outside of design, I enjoy pilates, yoga, and travel. Wherever I go, I’m drawn first to the people, then the food, and finally the places—always in that order. These values shape both my personal life and my work as an interior designer serving Sonoma and Napa Counties.
